creative strategy

Some clients arrive with a script. Most arrive with a problem. Both are fine.

It starts with your market rather than with the film. Who you compete with, what they are already saying, and what is left for you to claim. Then the concept: who the film is for, what it should make them do, and what has to be on screen for that to happen. This is priced as its own stage because it is its own work, and because a film built without it usually gets remade within a year.

Includes: competitive and message analysis, concept development, deliverables plan, scripts and voiceover, location and talent scouting.

Pre-production, production and post-production under one roof, priced separately so you can take only the parts you need.

The advantage is not really the price, although it usually is cheaper. It is that nothing gets lost in a handover. The person who worked out the concept is the person holding the camera and the person cutting it, so the film that arrives is the film that was agreed.

Includes: the full cycle from concept to final cut, one point of contact, fast feedback rounds.

full service

Commercials, company films, documentary and short-form video, shot wherever the job is.

Everything travels in two cases. Sony full-frame cameras, prime and zoom lenses, gimbal, LED lighting, wireless lavalier and shotgun mics. Gear is in the day rate and none of it needs a van, which is what makes a single day in a factory or on a beach practical.

Includes: corporate video, brand films, commercials, product explainers, event and conference filming, interviews, testimonials, recruitment videos, documentary, and vertical short-form for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.

Commercial photography, usually shot on the same days as the video with the same crew.

Booking both together is the cheapest way to get both, because the travel, the access and the lighting are already paid for. Natural light where the location allows it, flash where it does not. Files come back graded, web-ready and print-ready, with the social crops made.

Includes: action sports and lifestyle, hotel and resort interiors and exteriors, real estate and architecture, food and menu, product and packshots, event coverage, headshots and team portraits, and aerial photography by drone.

AERIAL IMAGERY

Drone video and photography, flown on a Slovak drone operator licence valid across the European Union.

Two kinds of flying. Cinematic drones for establishing shots, property exteriors and coastline reveals. FPV for fast tracking that follows a rider, a car, or a line through a building. Airspace permissions are arranged before the shoot, not discovered on the morning.

Includes: aerial videography and drone photography, hotel and resort exteriors, real estate and construction, FPV tracking for action sports and events, top-down and orbit shots, and delivery in 4K and above.

Editing, colour grading, sound design and motion graphics, done by the person who was on the shoot.

Cut in DaVinci Resolve. Grading enhances what was there rather than replacing it, so a place still looks like the place. Sound gets as much attention as picture, because bad audio loses a viewer faster than soft footage. Licensed music included.

Includes: video editing, colour correction and grading, sound design and mixing, motion graphics and titles, subtitles and captions, multi-language versions, vertical reformatting for social, and delivery in the formats each platform needs.

Social content

We do not run your accounts. We do make the content that goes on them.

Vertical cuts get planned while we are filming rather than cropped out of the wide edit afterwards, so one shooting day produces months of material instead of a week. A posting plan comes with the files.

Includes: vertical video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn, cutdowns from longer films, subtitled versions, a posting plan, and stills sized for each platform.

FAQ

Do you work with small companies or only large brands?

Both. A large share of the work is small & medium businesses, startups and local operators. The larger brand projects on this site were made with the same process at a larger scale, which is why the same person can do both.

Are you licensed to fly a drone?

Yes. We hold a Slovak drone operator licence, which is valid across the European Union (EASA). Permissions for restricted airspace are arranged case by case before the shoot.

Who is behind KOBULSKY MEDIA?

Matej Kobulsky, filming professionally since 2012, based in Slovakia for part of the year and in western Sicily for the rest. Freelance crew are brought in per project when a shoot needs more than one or two people.

What language do you work in?

English is the working language for all international projects. We also work in Slovak and in Italian for projects in Sicily through Amunì Media.

Do you help decide what the video should say?

Yes. Every project starts with a look at your market: who you compete with, what they are already saying, and what is left for you to claim. We come from a marketing background as well as production, so we will push back on a brief if a different message would do more for the business. This is a paid stage and it can be booked on its own.

How much does video production cost?

Cost is driven by pre-production, shooting and post-production days, not by the length of the finished film. A single day with one crew member, edited into a two-minute film plus social cuts, sits at the lower end. Multi-day shoots, travel, additional crew and animation move it up.

Every quote comes with two or three options at different budgets. Each one breaks out the days, the deliverables and the price for each stage, so you can see exactly what changes between them and remove anything you do not need.

Do you travel outside Slovakia?

Yes. KOBULSKY MEDIA is registered in Slovakia and most of the work is international. Past shoots include Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, Caribbean or Brazil. Travel and accommodation are quoted separately from the production fee.

Can you shoot video and photography on the same trip?

Yes, and it is usually the cheaper option. The travel, the location access and the lighting setup are already paid for, so adding photography to a video shoot costs considerably less than booking a separate photographer for a separate day.

How long does a video project take?

A single shooting day with a standard edit is usually delivered within a week. Documentary and multi-location projects run longer. The delivery date is agreed in writing in the quote before the project starts.

Our biggest project TWENTY was a long process but his ideas and vision for the project really aligned with mine and added to the final result. I think the best part is the full package he provides, the main project comes photos, social content and updates, contact with magazines and articles to name a few. Laci has been flexible on timing and it is great to work with someone giving 110%.
